INVISTA is an independently managed but wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc.
This position is a vital part of the team providing environmental compliance & permitting support for the INVISTA facility in Orange, TX. The position reports to the Environmental Manager.
• Provide support to environmental manager in developing, executing, and maintaining site compliance with air permits, air regulatory reporting, and ongoing compliance with all air requirements.
• Direct, monitor, and mentor environmental engineers and technicians who have air reporting and compliance responsibilities.
• Provide support for developing permit applications (Title V and NNSR), amendments (Title V and NNSR) and PBRs.
• Track key compliance metrics and implement systems to improve performance.
• Creation and maintenance of environmental management systems to comply with air permits and air regulations Responsible for air compliance reporting such as HON, MON, and Benzene NESHAP.
• Serve as a point of contact and provide technical support for air compliance questions for facility staff.
• Support initiatives/programs related to air compliance/compliance demonstrations.
• Identify training required for air permitting compliance and work to help implement training to operation, engineering, and other facility staff.
• Oversee release reporting and recordkeeping activities as required by company policy, environmental regulations, and environmental air permits.
• Ensure that audit findings that are related to air compliance, are assessed and closed with proper documentation.
• Ensure that compliance obligations, that are associated with air compliance, are identified and completed on time.
• Ensure that the site's record management system, electronic and hardcopy, captures and retains the information needed to demonstrate compliance with the applicable air requirements.
• Coordinate agency interactions that pertain to air compliance including responses to NOVs, NOEs, and information requests.
Qualifications Skills and Background Required:
• BS Degree in Engineering or Science
• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience
• Experience in managing compliance for air sources, including documenting regulatory applicability determinations, verifying process streams, understanding mitigation and controls devices, performing emissions monitoring, and calculating air emissions at a large industrial chemical or refining facility.
• Knowledge of federal and Texas laws governing air compliance programs
• Experience with reports to federal and Texas agencies
• Experience with PC-based software (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
Education and Experience Preferred:
• Chemical or refining experience preferred
