Our Houston area Stafford, Texas office seeks a mid level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join their team.

Our successful candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience working with major oil & gas companies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs site assessments, site inspections, and groundwater monitoring and oversees well installations
Prepares site work plans, proposals, and client reports
Schedules project tasks and tracks project progress through closure
Queries site information/data and creates historical tables and sampling reports
Communicates with third party and regulatory agents regarding schedules and compliance issues
Works with junior and associate geologists and scientists to ensure that all resources are in place for proper fieldwork execution
Ensures adherence to client contract specifications and GES Health & Safety standards in all field-related activities

Requirements:

A degree in Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline with 2+ years of environmental consulting experience.
2+ years of report writing and Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) experience is required.
OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical, organizational, planning, technical writing, and time management skills are required.
LPS knowledge is a plus
Must have a clean driving record, and be able to drive a company vehicle.
A Background Check and an Alcohol/Drug screening are required.

Environmental Program Manager - Houston, TX

Position Description
Will oversee and manage the Environmental Program and contract execution at Johnson Space Center (JSC). Management functions include assuring that cost, schedule, and technical objectives of this contract are achieved; managing and reporting on the Contractor's and any
subcontractor's activities; communicating with NASA managers, regulatory personnel, and technical personnel; major procurement activities in the acquisition of systems, subsystems, elements of subsystems, and for repair and updating them as required; negotiating credibly and
representing NASA as an efficient, effective, and innovative leader in the environmental field

Required Skills
5 years continuous work experience as an environmental manager at a large, multi-employer and multi-discipline Federal aerospace (preferred) or commercial manufacturing facility, operating as a large quantity generator of hazardous wastes, and plant operations preferably in an ozone non- attainment area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a must. 15+ years of continuous experience in multiple, major, environmental programs with a demonstrated record of compliance and continual improvement, and recent Texas environmental experience working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS), EPA Region VI, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and local regulatory agency laws, standards, and guidance materials preferred.

Education
BS Degree in an Environmental Science, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related science degree. Must have a valid license from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or obtain prior to the end of the first year of
employment.

Position:  Staff Ecologist
Location:  Houston, Texas

Perennial Environmental Services (Perennial) is actively seeking a highly motivated person for a staff level position in Houston, Texas.  Perennial is a rapidly growing environmental consulting firm that provides ecological services to a variety of clients throughout the country.   

This individual will participate in wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, baseline environmental studies and regulatory compliance audits.  They will assist in the preparation and editorial review of the associated technical reports and will be directly involved in consultations with federal, state, and local environmental agencies.  

The qualified candidate will be a graduate of a Master’s level program with technical knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines:  botany, soil science, aquatic ecology or plant ecology.  Experience with GPS and GIS systems is preferred.  The candidate must also possess excellent written and oral skills, be highly organized, and detail oriented.
