TAEP Luncheon Meeting (in person and virtual) Thursday March 20, 2025 Speaker: Ashley E. Jones, M.A., RPA, owner and archaeologist, ASH&E L.L.C. Topic: Texas Archaeology 101 Speaker Bio: Ashley E. Jones, M.A., RPA is owner and archaeologist at ASH&E L.L.C., a cultural resource management firm based in Houston, TX. As a cultural resource management professional, Ashley has conducted technical studies in support of a variety of projects primarily in Texas. Ashley's work as a field archaeologist includes project work in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri, Louisiana and Virginia. As a graduate student, Ashley studied the dietary choices of early farmers living in Northern Mexico, using stable isotope analysis. In addition to field projects, Ashley enjoys working in the public through public archaeology and public outreach programs.
Ashley spends as much free time as possible outdoors, spending time working in her garden or hiking with her family. She serves as a Commissioner for the City of Houston’s Archeological and Historical Commission (HAHC), which protects the City’s cultural resources. She is currently the Vice President of the Houston Chapter of WTS International.
